Uplift Sam and Aivah in Their Healing Journey

Thursday evening my sister (Sam, 36 yrs old) and her daughter (Aivah, 6 yrs old) were in a horrific accident.

Sam had to get 6 stitches from her nose to her lip and Aivah suffered from several wounds. Her neck was sliced, causing a hole in her air tube. She had to be intubated and rushed by chopper to Mayo for emergency surgery.

Surgery lasted almost 4 hours and they did not find any other trauma to the inside of her throat, and by the grace of god it missed anything vesicular. Surgery went very well and they were able to reconstruct her airway! She also had to get stitches on her ear and there was a gash on the back of her head that was glued shut, along with a bunch of scrapes, bruises, and some road rash.

With reconstruction surgery and her being so little she will be intubated and in a medically induced coma until at least this coming Tuesday to Thursday to give her airway time to heal.

Her numbers are looking great and she is stable!

We’re hoping to help Sam and Mat relieve their financial burden as both with be missing out of a full week of work to be at Mayo with their baby girl while they both heal from their injuries.

Monday there will be an account set up at first security in Charles City under, “the Cain Family” for donations!
