Hello everyone, My name is Rev. Darryl W. Butler and I Am the Pastor of Bethel AME Church in Shawnee, Oklahoma. My wife and i started pastoring in the city of Shawnee in Feb. 2025. Upon our arrival, we observed a substantial need in the homeless community. Since outreach is my call, that is where we focused our efforts. We are a small church with the majority of our members retired and on fixed incomes and the last pastor had been assigned to this church for the last 12 years. A wonderful man, with a great heart and who loved the lord. However, in order to move this ministry forward, win souls for Christ and make an impact on the community, it's time to make a few changes and upgrades. It's all about enhancing the worship experience. With your help I'm trying to make upgrades to the audio / visual ministry and the music ministry. When i arrived as pastor of this church, they had no real PA system and no music, and they sang every song acapella. I'm looking to change all of that by enhancing the worship experience, growing the congregation and ultimately impacting the community. With your help i would be able change the atmosphere, win souls for Christ and be a blessing to the community.
