My name is Sindy Sebastian. I came here from Guatemala 2 years ago to seek a better future for my son Alexander (7) who is physically disabled and needs frequent surgeries. I also have a younger son, Mateo, who is 1 1/2. We lived in a shelter in Oakland for several months, but for the past year we have been fortunate to find temporary housing in Alameda.
