Dennis, our longtime baker at Gullifty’s, has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer and is currently unable to work while undergoing treatment. As you can imagine, this has created an overwhelming financial strain as medical bills and everyday expenses continue to add up.

If you ever worked at Gullifty’s, celebrated a birthday here, or ended a meal with one of our homemade desserts, chances are Dennis had a hand in it. Dennis has been our baker since 1982. That’s over 43 years of early mornings, handwritten recipes, and desserts made completely from scratch. He’s the reason so many people still talk about “that dessert” they had here years ago.

More than his baking, Dennis has always been one of the kindest, most welcoming people in our building. He knew names, shared smiles, and treated everyone—staff and guests alike—with genuine warmth.

We’ve started this GoFundMe to help Dennis with medical costs and everyday living expenses so he can focus on his health and healing instead of worrying about how to get by. If Dennis ever made you laugh, encouraged you on a tough shift, or baked a dessert you still remember, this is a chance to give a little back.
