I am Ryan Lopez, a student studying Chemistry with an emphasis in Chemical Nanoscience at the University of Southern California. It is my firm belief that it just takes one person to make a difference and empower their community and bring people together to stand up and enact the true change that is desperately needed in America today. As such, I am proud to be a Bernie Sanders supporter, and moreover, proud of the fact that he has inspired me to want to be that person who steps up to make a change in my community. As such, I worked to become President and Co-Founder of College Students for Bernie at the University of Southern California, and now, along with my team United Progressives for Bernie, elected as a Bernie Sanders District-Level Delegate for California's 37th Congressional District.

As a Bernie Sanders District-Level Delegate, I need your help to get to Philadelphia to represent my congressional district's Bernie Sanders votes at the Democratic National Convention (DNC). We Bernie supporters have the courage, motivation, and determination to elect Bernie Sanders who has the leadership, experience, and consistency
to be the best candidate for President of the United States in our broken and corrupt political system. I have the leadership skills and motivation to support Bernie Sanders and will not back down, even in the face of what is appearing more and more to be a contested convention, I have conducted thorough research on each of the candidates running for office, and they all point to the simple fact Bernie is the best choice, not only for our neighborhoods in California's 37th Congressional District, but for America as well.

I am attempting to raise $3,000 to get to the Democratic National Convention. Here is a breakdown of how I plan to use those $3,000.

1. I plan to use $660 for round trip airfare to and from Philadelphia.

2. $1,570 is the estimated cost of hotel accomodations at the official delegate hotel, the Marriott Hotel Philadelphia Downtown,
 from July 24-July 29, 2016.

3.  $270 is the estimated cost for three meals a day at $15 per meal.

4. I plan to use $100 is the estimated cost of attending the Statewide Delegate Meeting in Long Beach, California.

Your support is both very much needed and very much appreciated through July. Should there be any money left over after July, I will evaluate how it would best be used going into the General Election.
