Support Theresa Puhr's Recovery Journey
Donation protected
On June 19, 2025, Theresa and Steven were wrapping up a day of hiking in Shenandoah National Park when they were caught in a sudden thunderstorm less than a mile from their car. Within seconds of the storm sweeping in, a large tree limb fell down on Theresa, badly injuring her. She has since been in the ICU at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA. She broke her femur, tibia, fibula, pelvis, scapula, several vertebrae, and several ribs. She has undergone two major surgeries on her leg and her spine. Her stay in the hospital has been complicated by a bacterial infection of unknown origin. Her next goal is to move to an acute rehab facility, barring any further complications.
We’re so grateful for how far she has come, however, she has a long road of recovery ahead, and we want to rally everyone together to help them during this long process.
We are so appreciative of everyone who has already reached our asking how they can support Theresa and Steven. We set this up as a way for anyone who wants to help them with their numerous medical expenses and out-of-pocket costs. Thank you for your help during this difficult time, and we will continue to post updates throughout Theresa's recovery.
