Assalamualaikum
It is with only through the mercy of Allah we have been able to provide Ramadhan Food Parcels for destitute families in Bangladesh for the past 4 years. Insha’Allah with your continued support we hope to continue this tradition this year.
The food parcel is estimated to cost £10 per package and will contain the following items.
- RICE 5KG
- POTATOES 2KG
- ONIONS 2KG
- LENTILS 1KG
- CHICKPEAS 1KG
- OIL 1 LITRE
- SALT 1KG
- GARLIC 500g
- GINGER 500g
- DATES 500g
We believe that charity should be given with humility, respect and dignity. To achieve this we will proceed in the following manner:
- High quality food items will be bought of a standard used by ordinary families in Bangladesh - Avoiding cheaper substandard items.
- Recipients will not be filmed or photographed for any publicity materials.
- The food items will be packed in nondescript packaging so as to not identify it as a charity material.
- Only the most deserving people will be identified and the packages delivered to them at organisers cost.
- All money from donations will go directly to the cost of food items. Organisers will meet the cost of packing, delivery and money transfer fees.
- Distribution will be carried out by competent trusted people who will deal with the recipients with kindness and compassion.
Please contribute and join this humble effort. Remember that we are more in need of the prayers of poor people, than they are in need of our donations.
May Allah accept this from us. Ameen.
