Trina's Story...
Cancer. Every person affected by this horrible word has a story. Here is mine: It all started with a positive pregnancy test. My baby was only 5 months old and I was currently breastfeeding, when I found out on Mother's day 2015, that I was expecting again (I said some bad words at first!) Shortly after I noticed I had a fairly large bump on my upper right breast. No big deal, breastfeeding equals weird bumps. A few months into my pregnancy my baby stopped growing, so, I switched her over to formula. Well, said bump didn't go away. At my 20 wk appt I mentioned it to my OB. She starts checking and her face just goes blank. She says "Oh no." Leaves and sets up a mammogram and ultrasound for the next day, because I had kids with me. Yep I am stressing now. Get the boob squisher done (pretty sure a MAN invented that machine!) and an ultrasound. Radiologist and techs come back in the room and immediately say "Do you have anyone to come sit with you?" Uh not really... Dr. says 99% certain it's Breast cancer.
On Tuesday August 11, 22 weeks pregnant, my life took a drastic turn. I was officially diagnosed with breast cancer.
From Tara:
Since my friend Trina was diagnosed with cancer two months ago it has gone from bad to worse. They have now moved her into stage four because the cancer has spread from her breast into her bones & back. She will need to have back surgery to repair the drastic damage the cancer has caused, which means her baby will be taken early.
Once you are diagnosed with stage four cancer, it's basically a nice way of saying, "Here's your death sentence." But Trina is a fighter. We are looking for a miracle. PRAYING for a miracle.
You can help this amazing woman, who has done her best to stay positive even though it has been one curve ball thrown her way after another, by donating to help the growing financial burden on her family.
They are not a wealthy family. They live very modestly and like most of this country they work hard to live that way. Because of the considerable amount of time Trina will need to be out of state for treatment, her husband has to take time off from work, which means no income.
I kindly ask for your help on behalf of my dear friend Trina and her family. Any amount is appreciated and can be used to help her with her fight against cancer.
Thank you for your support and prayers!
