We're the University of Ottawa's Mars Rover Team (uORover), and we're a competitive engineering team with over 40 students studying in various engineering and science programs who are passionate about space exploration and robotics.
Our goal each year is to construct a prototype rover to compete in the Canadian International Rover Challenge (CIRC), where we are tasked with completing a set of missions in a Martian simulated environment. CIRC brings a once in a lifetime opportunity for passionate, hard-working and talented students to bring their rover to the test against other schools around the world. In addition, we'll have the opportunity to network with leaders in the space industry who are sponsoring CIRC, learn from other student teams, and ultimately make great lifelong memories.
All the funds raised will go towards supporting the travel expenses for this competition for 12 members (flights, accommodations, etc.) and any hardware that would be used complete the construction of our rover. We really appreciate any amount that can be donated :)
