Sponsored Walk for Cancer Research ️
On the 22nd April, the University of Gloucestershire Equestrian Club will be taking on a 15km sponsored walk to raise money for Cancer Research UK, a charity dedicated to funding life-saving research into the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer.
Cancer affects so many families and communities, and this is a cause that means a great deal to many of our members and supporters. Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading independent cancer charity, funding scientists, doctors, and nurses to help beat cancer sooner and improve survival for people across the UK and beyond.
Our team will be walking together to raise as much as we can for this incredible cause. Every donation, big or small, helps support groundbreaking research and brings us one step closer to a world where more people survive cancer.
Cancer has impacted our members and those close to us in many ways. One such story is that of Jessica Macqueen, and in her memory and to raise awareness, we will all be wearing pink on the walk. https://www.alicesarc.org/arc/jessica-macqueen/
