Saving our mother

Donation protected
Dear people,

I am reaching out to you in hopes of getting help for my mom who is fighting against all odds. My name is Anu and I have a sister whose name is Amina. We are trying to raise a fund hoping to raise enough money to cover medical cost to save our mom and stay with her as long as possible. She was recently diagnosed and hospitalized with pulmonary fibrosis while visiting our sick grandmother in Mongolia, which is 7 thousand miles from the United States where we currently live. In October, 2015, my mom left to visit Mongolia for few weeks to meet and take care of our sick and elderly grandmother. Fast forward couple months in, she is now hundred percent dependent on respiratory equipment due to doctors’ diagnosis that she is unable to breathe on her own. She has been fighting this tough battle all on her own in the hospital and I am really hoping for a support from all of you with kind hearts and soul to help us save our mom. We are desperately looking for money to bring her back to America, which will cost huge amount of money that will require individual plane equipped with ambulance equipment and doctors’ crew on standby traveling all the way from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to San Francisco.
She has been working as a nurse for 10 years, selflessly caring for old people. Due to the harsh financial difficulties, similar to many Mongolians, she immigrated to the United States looking for a better future for her 2 daughters. She worked day and night to provide for us back in Mongolia; making sure that we  had food on the table, roof over our head, reasonable education, and medicines for our grandmother. When she left us in 2003, I was only 10 and my sister was 6 years old. While she was away, through life’s thick and thin, we took on adult responsibilities at a young age on our own such as being responsible for our life and caring our sick grandma. Our parents divorced when we were preschoolers and father left us since then.  Everyday, we’ve counted days and day dreamed about the day where we could finally reunite. After dreadfully long 12 years, we finally got to meet our mother in 2015 in America. Just when we thought we could have everything we’ve dreamed of while planning our  bright future together, we’ve received this unfairly heartbreaking news. She has missed out on 12 years of our lives while trying to create a life where we lacked nothing. She had promised to be back soon when she had left and we want her back. As I write this hoping for a miracle, I know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel If she can be brought back here in the USA for a treatment to keep her until the next chance to treat her with lung transplantation. Mongolian doctors and the medical organizations already expressed that they can do nothing except switching off the respiratory.
We found countless information about same cases and many survivals after pulmonary fibrosis and lung transplantations. We are trying to stay faithful for the same successful examples of treatment and fundraising, because only these testimonies are keeping our mom alive and stronger. We are trying to remind her about the people who had this disease and survived, about the people who received moving help and support from thousands of kind and selfless people out there. We are begging her not give up because there is a chance to continue living our life together that we’ve always dreamed of. Please help us save our mother and live our life together with love in a good health, one day at a time. Any kind of support in any way is greatly appreciated. I thank you wholeheartedly on behalf of my family.
