Single Mother Dealing with Colon Cancer

My name is Jennifer Stein. I recently turned 43 years old in June. I'm a single mother of 3 beautiful girls; Adison, Lily, and Presley. (The picture above is of my girls and I at one of our weekly gal dates prior to my diagnosis). My children are my best friends and we do everything we can together. Getting this diagnosis has been the hardest week of my life. It has been the hardest week of their lives as well. We've been through a lot together the last 16 years and I want to be there for them as long as I can.

Recently, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer. It was a complete shock to me, especially after going in because of stomach pain I thought was being caused by a possible ulcer.  They immediately kept me in the hospital for two weeks and performed multiple surgeries one of which was to give me a colostomy bag which is a huge life change and makes me not even want to leave the house. I’ve started chemotherapy which will go till the end of December which makes me really sick, so I will have to take time off of work which will prevent me from being able to make the necessary funds needed to be able to house and feed my children since all the help I have applied for take 2-4 months to process.

Being a single mother, my children are my number 1 priority. The reason I am reaching out for assistance is so I can make sure that I can make sure the are taken care of during my several month long radiation treatment. This aid is vitally important to me so that I know my children will be okay during this time period. What this money would be going towards would be rent for our housing, food to keep us fed, electricity, water, school materials for my children, and food for our animals.
