The Hôpital Mgr Jean Zoa / CASS de Nkolndongo in Yaoundé has been a key healthcare institution since 1977, particularly in maternal and neonatal care, with over 4,000 births per year and a specialized neonatal unit.

A core principle of the hospital is that every woman can give birth safely, regardless of her financial situation. To maintain this essential service, the hospital depends on additional support, as many families have very limited means and ongoing costs remain high.

Currently, a CTG machine for monitoring fetal heart rate is broken. The priority is to acquire a new CTG device and additional Doppler devices to ensure safe monitoring during childbirth.

I have personally worked there as a midwife and am familiar with the needs and challenges. This initiative is based on my own personal commitment and not at the request of the hospital. I will continue to follow the project closely and ensure transparency.

Donations will support:

– care for premature and high-risk newborns

– essential medical supplies

– support for mothers unable to afford treatment

L’Hôpital Mgr Jean Zoa / CASS de Nkolndongo à Yaoundé est, depuis 1977, un établissement clé dans le domaine de la santé, notamment pour la mère et l’enfant, avec plus de 4 000 naissances par an et une néonatologie spécialisée.

Un principe fondamental de l’hôpital est que chaque femme puisse accoucher en toute sécurité, indépendamment de sa situation financière. Pour maintenir cette mission, l’hôpital dépend d’un soutien financier supplémentaire, car de nombreuses familles disposent de moyens limités et les coûts restent élevés.

Actuellement, un appareil CTG pour la surveillance du rythme cardiaque fœtal est défectueux. L’achat d’un nouveau CTG ainsi que de dopplers est prioritaire afin d’assurer la sécurité des mères et des nouveau-nés.

Ayant travaillé sur place comme sage-femme, je connais les besoins du terrain. Cette initiative est personnelle et ne fait pas suite à une demande de l’hôpital. Je continue à suivre le projet avec une attention particulière à la transparence.

Das Hôpital Mgr Jean Zoa / CASS de Nkolndongo in Yaoundé ist seit 1977 eine zentrale Einrichtung der Mutter-Kind-Medizin mit über 4'000 Geburten jährlich und einer spezialisierten Neonatologie.

Ein wesentliches Prinzip des Spitals ist, dass Frauen unabhängig von ihrer finanziellen Situation sicher gebären können. Um diese wichtige Arbeit aufrechtzuerhalten, ist das Spital auf zusätzliche Unterstützung angewiesen, da viele Familien nur über begrenzte Mittel verfügen und laufende Kosten für Material und Infrastruktur entstehen.

Aktuell ist ein CTG-Gerät zur Überwachung der kindlichen Herztöne defekt. Die Anschaffung eines neuen CTG-Geräts sowie zusätzlicher Doppler-Geräte ist daher dringend notwendig, um die Sicherheit von Mutter und Kind zu gewährleisten.

Ich habe selbst als Hebamme vor Ort gearbeitet und kenne die Bedürfnisse aus eigener Erfahrung. Diese Initiative erfolgt aus persönlichem Engagement und nicht auf Anfrage des Spitals. Auch künftig begleite ich das Projekt vor Ort und lege grossen Wert auf Transparenz.
