Hallo, ich bin Astrid Lücke. Heute wende ich mich mit einer Herzensangelegenheit an euch. Ich starte dieses Crowdfunding, um dringend benötigte Mittel für Chuba Barayuk und seine Familie in Guayusa Runa im Amazonasgebiet in Ecuador zu sammeln. Chuba und seine Familie gehören zum Kichuwa-Stamm und haben mit harter Arbeit und viel Liebe ein kleines Dorf am Rande des Amazonas-Regenwaldes aufgebaut.
Über Ecuador
Ecuador ist ein zauberhaftes Land in Südamerika, das eine der größten Biodiversitäten der Welt auf engstem Raum vereint. Es ist ein Land der Wunder:
• Die magischen Galápagos-Inseln mit einzigartigen Tieren und Pflanzen
• Die traumhafte Pazifikküste mit ihrem warmen Wasser
• Die majestätischen Anden mit ihren schneebedeckten Vulkanen
• Der mystische und lebensspendende Amazonas-Regenwald
Unser Anliegen
In ihrem kleinen Dorf teilen Chuba und seine Familie die kostbaren Traditionen des Kichuwa-Stammes, ihr tiefes Wissen über die Natur und die heilende Kraft der heimischen Pflanzen mit Besuchern aus aller Welt. Ihre Leidenschaft für den Schutz des Regenwaldes und ihrer Kultur ist ansteckend. Doch das Leben dort ist hart, und die Herausforderungen sind groß. Der Tourismus, von dem etwa 30 Menschen leben und der die Schulbildung der Dorfkinder finanziert, liegt derzeit wegen politischer Unruhen nahezu brach.
Meine persönliche Erfahrung
Im Februar 2024 hatte ich das große Glück, zusammen mit meinem sechsjährigen Sohn einen Monat bei Chuba und seiner Familie zu verbringen. Diese Zeit war eine der prägendsten und schönsten meines Lebens. Wir wurden mit offenen Armen empfangen und durften an ihrem einfachen, aber unglaublich reichen Leben teilhaben. Wir lernten so viel über den Dschungel, das Leben im Einklang mit der Natur und die alltäglichen Entbehrungen. Ihre Großzügigkeit und ihr Wissen haben uns tief berührt.
Warum Chuba ein Auto braucht
Chuba ist ein außergewöhnlicher Mensch. Als zertifizierter Guide und der einzige im Stamm mit einem Autoführerschein, trägt er große Verantwortung. Ein Auto würde ihm ermöglichen, bei Touren auch andere Kichuwa-Stämme einzubeziehen und den Besuchern noch mehr von ihrem einzigartigen Leben im Dschungel zu zeigen. Dies würde nicht nur die Aufenthaltsdauer der Touristen verlängern, sondern auch dringend benötigte Einnahmen für die Familie und die wichtigen Umweltprojekte (z.B. der Kauf von Regenwald um ihn vor dem Roden durch Ölkonzerne zu schützen) sichern.
Mit einem Auto könnte Chuba zudem als Taxifahrer arbeiten und so bis zu 80 USD am Tag verdienen, was in diesen schwierigen Zeiten einen enormen Unterschied machen würde. Die Kinder müssten nicht täglich 3 km bei Wind und Wetter zur Schule laufen, die Familie müsste auch keine teuren Taxis mehr in die Stadt bezahlen (7 USD pro Richtung), wodurch sie mehr Geld für notwendige Ausgaben wie Essen, neue Dächer oder Stromrechnungen hätte.
Unser Ziel
Unser Ziel ist es, 50.000 USD für einen Pickup mit 5 Sitzplätzen zu sammeln. Dieses Fahrzeug würde Chuba und seiner Familie nicht nur eine dringend benötigte Einkommensquelle bieten, sondern ihnen auch die Möglichkeit geben, ihre wichtige Arbeit für den Schutz des Regenwaldes und die Bewahrung ihrer Kultur fortzusetzen.

Hi, my name is Astrid Luecke, and I'm starting this crowdfunding campaign to support Chuba Barayuk and his family from the Amazon region of Ecuador. Chuba is a dedicated member of the Kichuwa tribe. Together with his large family, they have built a small village on the edge of the Amazon rainforest, where they strive to preserve their culture and the incredible biodiversity of their home country.
About Ecuador
Ecuador is a small yet incredibly diverse country in South America. It boasts the unique Galápagos Islands, a warm Pacific coast, majestic snow-capped Andes mountains, and the lush Amazon rainforest. This rich biodiversity makes Ecuador a unique place where nature thrives in all its forms.
The Village and Its Mission
In their village, Chuba and his family run a small-scale tourism project. They share the traditions of the Kichuwa tribe and impart their extensive knowledge of the rainforest, including the medicinal properties of local plants. Their efforts are not just about tourism; they are deeply involved in various projects aimed at preserving the rainforest and protecting the natural environment.
My Experience
I had the privilege of living with Chuba's family for a month in February 2024 with my 6-year-old son. We immersed ourselves in their way of life, supported various projects, and learned invaluable lessons about living in harmony with nature. Their dedication and hospitality left a profound impact on us.
Why We Need Your Help
As a certified guide and the only one in the tribe with a drivers licence, Chuba has great responsibility. A car would allow him to include other Kichuwa tribes on tours and show visitors even more of their unique life in the jungle.
This would encourage longer stays in the village, providing the family with increased income to support ambitious environmental projects.

Economic Impact
The economic benefits of a car extend beyond tourism. The recent unrest in Ecuador has severely impacted tourism, making it difficult for the family to sustain their income. With a car, Chuba can also drive a taxi, potentially earning up to $80 per day. Additionally, the kinds won´t have to walk 3k to school, the family would save on daily taxi fares to the city ($7 each way), allowing them to reallocate funds to urgent needs like food, new roofs for houses and electricity.
The Goal
We aim to raise $50,000 to purchase a pickup truck with 5 seats. This vehicle is crucial for expanding their tourism business, supporting their family, and continuing their vital environmental projects.

Chuba y su familia pertenecen a la tribu Kichuwa y han construido un pequeño pueblo al borde de la selva amazónica con mucho trabajo y mucho amor.

Ecuador es un país mágico de América del Sur que combina una de las mayores biodiversidades del mundo en un espacio muy pequeño. Es una tierra de maravillas:
• Las mágicas Islas Galápagos con animales y plantas únicos
• La hermosa costa del Pacífico con sus cálidas aguas.
• Los majestuosos Andes con sus volcanes nevados
• La mística y vivificante selva amazónica
Nuestra preocupación
En su pequeño pueblo, Chuba y su familia comparten las preciosas tradiciones de la tribu Kichuwa, su profundo conocimiento de la naturaleza y el poder curativo de las plantas locales con visitantes de todo el mundo. Su pasión por proteger la selva tropical y su cultura es contagiosa. Pero la vida allí es dura y los desafíos son grandes. El turismo, del que viven unas 30 personas y que financia la escolarización de los niños del pueblo, está actualmente prácticamente inactivo debido a los disturbios políticos.
Mi experiencia personal
En febrero de 2024 tuve la suerte de pasar un mes con Chuba y su familia con mi hijo de seis años. Esta vez fue uno de los momentos más formativos y hermosos de mi vida. Nos recibieron con los brazos abiertos y se nos permitió participar en su vida sencilla pero increíblemente rica.
Aprendimos mucho sobre la jungla, cómo vivir en armonía con la naturaleza y las dificultades cotidianas. Nos conmovió profundamente su generosidad y conocimiento.
Por qué Chuba necesita un coche
Chuba y su Famila son personas extraordinaria. Como guía certificado y el único de la tribu con permiso de conducir, Chuba tiene mucha responsabilidad. Un automóvil le permitiría incluir a otras tribus Kichuwa en los recorridos y mostrar a los visitantes aún más de su vida única en la jungla. Esto no sólo prolongaría la duración de la estancia de los turistas, sino que también garantizaría unos ingresos muy necesarios para la familia e importantes proyectos medioambientales.
Con un automóvil, Chuba también podría trabajar como taxista y ganar hasta 80 dólares al día, lo que haría una gran diferencia en estos tiempos difíciles. Los niños ya no tendrían que caminar 3 km hasta la escuela todos los días con viento y mal tiempo. La familia tampoco tendría que pagar costosos taxis hasta la ciudad (7 dólares por trayecto), lo que les daría más dinero para gastos necesarios. como comida, techos nuevos, facturas de electricidad.
Nuestra meta
Nuestro objetivo es recaudar $50,000 para una camioneta de 5 asientos. Este vehículo no sólo proporcionaría a Chuba y su familia una fuente de ingresos muy necesaria, sino que también les permitiría continuar su importante trabajo protegiendo la selva tropical y preservando su cultura.
