UNSTOPPABLE CHANGE is a documentary film from award-winning filmmaker Rani Brown at Frogmouth Films. It is a story of emerging LGBTQIA+ rights and visibility in Timor-Leste. It amplifies Indigenous voices and captures the struggles and passion for change; including personal stories as told by three key activists who discuss the transformative role of Arcoiris, an NGO established as a safe space for LGBTQIA+ people in Dili, Timor-Leste. We meet the incredible people who began this space, learn about international human rights efforts, the impacts of colonisation and the way injustice is addressed through collective action. Timor Leste's Transgender Marching Band takes us from Sydney World Pride, back to Timor-Leste's Pride March, in a joyous celebration of international solidarity and this movement of Unstoppable Change.

I travelled to Timor-Leste in June- July 2024 to interview participants and film at the Dili Pride March. I continue to work in respectful consultation with Arcoiris, the Dili based NGO.

The money raised has been used to cover production costs such as: cultural advise, translation services, second camera and in-country transportation. Fundraising was not used as a wage or a stipend for filming or editing which is being done on a voluntary basis. Future screenings of the film may be used as fundraisers for Arcoiris Timor-Leste, or as part of film festivals.
