At just 4 years old, Uno has lived through quite a few tales (no pun intended). Originally rescued off the street, Uno had his eye surgically removed and found his forever home with my mom, her husband, and 3 cat siblings who love him as much as we do.
Uno has experienced a few kidney/bladder infections that cause him to form “crystals” in his urine. Easily treated, he’s never let it slow him down. You’ll find him sitting at the table like a true gentleman, eying you (singular) as you walk past him, and making up for his small size with a big voice.
However, all of that changed when Uno fell violently ill and was rushed to the emergency vet. Within hours, Uno was in the operating room undergoing a Perineal Urethrostomy surgery to save his life. To spare the details, this surgery removes his… manhood.. in order to shorten his urethra and prevent the crystals from forming another obstruction- hopefully giving him another chance at an long and healthy life.
Between the emergency room visit, surgery, and follow up care, Uno has found himself to be a special guy with a net worth of over $6,000!
We really appreciate and thank you for any little bit. Even if you’re unable to donate, thank you for reading out this preserving one-eyed, half urethra, loving guy!
