ABOUT THE PROJECT: "Unnatural Election" is an art project that gathers creative responses from around the world. The project was launched the on November 9th, 2016, amidst the shock and heartache of the election results.

The response to the project has been AMAZING!
- Over 200 international artists and more joining weekly (Thank you artists!)
- A growing audience (in the thousands.)
- Dozens of media features on international print, web and TV (including an 8-pg spread in Italy, thanks Marco!)
- An exhibit at NYU Kimmel Galleries in New York City, extended through May 24, 2017.
- A lecture at the City University of New York.
-An ongoing online exhibition.Additional plans include:
-A traveling exhibition (National and international.)
-A book (Pending on funding.)

I have been doing this because I truly believe that art can change the world. I have been managing and funding the project on my own since November.

Andrea Arroyo is an award-winning visual artist with an extensive trajectory. Her artwork, inspired by social justice issues is exhibited widely. Ms. Arroyo is also a curator, speaker and cultural activist. Curatorial projects include "Tribute to the Disappeared," featuring over 300 international artists, "AriZONA: Artists Respond to the Immigration Issue," "Political Neighbors," "Women in the Heights" and "eARTh Alert." Participants include established and emerging artists of all disciplines, and non-artists as well. They range in age from 16 to 87 years old and come from over 20 countries. The artists list is updated regularly, you can see it here
Artists include: Marco De Angelis, Sue Coe, Suzanne Benton, Peter Kuper, Steve Brodner, Beatrice Coron, Felipe Galindo, Ercan Akyol, Rosa Borrás, Martin Kozlowski and many more.
