Unlocking the Potential Many Do Not See

The Institute for Research and Development for Gifted Students (IIDED) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to identifying, supporting, and developing students with high intellectual potential.

For more than two decades, IIDED has worked to advocate for children whose abilities are often misunderstood, overlooked, or never discovered. Many gifted students sit in classrooms every day feeling invisible. Instead of being recognized for their talents, they are frequently misdiagnosed, ignored, or left without the opportunities they need to grow and thrive.

IIDED was created to change that reality.

Through research, educational programs, evaluations, and family guidance, the institute works to ensure that gifted and high-potential students receive the recognition, understanding, and opportunities they need to fully develop their abilities.

Our mission is to identify, support, and develop gifted students, while also providing guidance to families and training to educators who want to better understand how these exceptional minds learn.

Across Puerto Rico and beyond, there are thousands of children with extraordinary potential who are never identified simply because the resources to discover and nurture their abilities are limited. Through IIDED, we work to change that reality.
