We set out to tell the story of The Final Experiment in a 90-minute documentary, but as the project neared completion, it became clear that there was so much more to share. The story is rich, complex, and filled with moments that deserve to be explored in greater depth. Fans of The Final Experiment have voiced their opinion, asking for longer content and a deeper dive into the people, events, and ideas that shaped this incredible journey. Their enthusiasm inspired us to think bigger and reimagine the project as a 4-part docuseries, with each episode running about 45 minutes.
Turning a finished documentary into a full docuseries is a major undertaking. The funds raised here will go directly toward additional editing and pacing to create four distinct episodes, as well as an original score, sound design, and color grading across all parts. We’ll also be able to add motion graphics, maps, and visual explanations to help tell the story in a more engaging way. Professional narration and closed captioning will ensure the series is accessible to everyone.
