“Unleash the Joy”

Hello, my name is Donna, I have been in the Wangaratta community for over 25 years. I am the mum of 7 and the grandmother of 13, so my charity means a lot to me from the heart. I started this non for profit organisation, to help struggling families and children get back to school, to help all children feel equal to their classmates. I believe education is one of the most important things in life, and for a child to have a uniform, and basic school essentials, is important for them to feel loved, and cared for. This charity provides, uniforms, stationery, toiletries and snacks with other school items like school bags etc, as well as a free haircut. This makes their school transition easier and gives each child a sense of dignity within themselves. We have been running this organisation for two years, and we rely solely on community donations.

We are desperately seeking a permanent space to work out of, for this charity. We dream to hold other events to connect community. This is difficult to do without a permanent space. If you know of somewhere, please reach out to us! It doesn’t have to be a huge space. Thank you.

We have met many amazing people in many different situations that have praised us for the impact our charity has had on their lives. They say the job we do is amazing!

Please donate any clean second hand uniforms (in good condition) for others in need to use. Please drop them off at your local primary or secondary school, as we have been mentioned in your school newsletters, and we will pick them up. Wangaratta High School, will be running a fundraising day, to help support us.
