If you are taking the time to read this, let me start out by saying thank you!
My name is Stephanie Grafman, some of you know me, some of you may not. I come from a family with one sister and six brothers. A little over three years ago my brother Jonathan starting having some unexplainable health problem, extreme exhaustion, muscle weakness, joint/muscle pain, etc,. To the point where some days he is unable to get out of bed. He has sought much medical counsel, some of them giving a diagnosis and prescribing medication that seems to work for a short time, but not in the long run. It has been a long hard road for him, his wife and their three children. A few weeks ago his son, who is seven years old, was saying his prayers before he went to bed. He asked God to pinky promise that He would heal his daddy! Jonathan’s children don’t remember what it is like to have a daddy who is healthy. This is the daddy that they know and love, even so, they want to have a daddy who can run and play with them without being laid up in bed for the next two days because it took every bit of energy that he had.
Jonathan has recently been given a referral to the Mayo Clinic, but they require a substantial deposit, not to mention travel and hotel expenses. Being a one income family, and due to the fact that Jonathan is frequently unable to make it in to work, finances are already tight.
In all of this, we trust that the Lord is good, we know He is sovereign and has a purpose and a plan in everything. We have sought him and asked him to heal, at this time He is choosing another path for Jonathan to walk down, we do not know why, but we continue to trust. Jonathan and his wife believe that this is the next step that the Lord is leading them to take, and we support them fully. We do not see this as an alternative to God’s healing, but possibly an avenue that He will use to send it.
We know that this is a very difficult time for our nation financially and we do not want to ask anyone to give more than they are able. If you are unable to give financially, we just ask that you
would give through your prayers!
“Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his deed.” -Proverbs 19:17
