The fundraiser has been EXTENDED! Donate through April 12th!

NMEA (Nebraska Music Education Association) is partnering with Collegiate NAfME Chapters across the state to raise money to benefit the UNK One-handed Woodwinds Program. Cooperating NAfME chapters include Chadron State College, Concordia University, Doane University, Hastings College, Midland University, Nebraska Wesleyan University, Peru State College, University of Nebraska at Kearney, University of Nebraska at Lincoln, University of Nebraska at Omaha, and Wayne State College.

11-year-old Claire Bahensky, of Lincoln, NE, (pictured with Dr. David Nabb, founder) is the current lessee of the one-handed saxophone (built by Jeff Stelling, owner of Stelling Brass & Winds).

The mission of the UNK (University of Nebraska at Kearney) One-handed Woodwinds Program is to make one-handed woodwind instruments available to permanently disabled individuals. NMEA is happy to hold this fundraiser to support such a worthy cause! The money will go towards building a new one-handed saxophone to allow more people with physical disabilities to play music, as well as making the cost of these specialized instruments more affordable. “Without music life would be a mistake." - Fredrich Niezche
