We are the University of Bristol Netball Club (UBNC), and this summer we’re taking on the challenge of running the distance from Bristol to Albufeira (Portugal) — a place that holds many great memories for us. This challenge will take place from June through to August.

Our fundraising goal: £1,000

* 50% will go toward lowering pre-season costs for players

* 50% will be donated to Choose Love: a brilliant charity supporting refugees and displaced people around the world

Pre-season is a really important part of our year — after a long summer break, preparing physically, mentally and as a team is essential. But with inflation comes increased daily food prices. So we are making it our mission to reduce the cost from £12.50 to £5 a day so every player can get involved.

At the same time, we’re proud to support the powerful charity Choose Love. They aim to provide vital support to refugees and displaced communities by delivering emergency assistance, including search and rescue operations, medical care, and essential supplies. They also support long-term needs such as mental health services, education, and legal aid while collaborating with local organisations.
