Hi, my name is Ladai Dansen, a senior film & media arts major at Messiah University. I am currently enrolled in my school's Junior/Senior Film Practicum. A class where I'm supposed to create a short film or documentary from start to finish.

What is Unity in Diversity?:

"Unity in Diversity" is a documentary that explores the essence of the Multicultural Council at Messiah University. Through interviews with current and past students, as well as faculty, the film delves into the club’s past and present, shedding light on both the challenges it has faced and the sense of community it continues to foster. The central theme, "finding community where you make it," emphasizes the importance of creating inclusive spaces. While acknowledging some of the negative past experiences, the documentary also focuses on celebrating the bright future for this vibrant community.

Finances:

To make “Unity in Diversity” possible, it will require a budget of at least $500. This is for specific equipment, catering, festival submission fees, advertisement, and location costs!
