On 25th-27th April 2025, University College Chapel Choir will be recording a CD in memory of David Knowles, a well-known Telegraph journalist and University College alumnus. The ambition with this project is to record with a record label, Convivium Records, which will be a first for chapel choirs here. By working with Convivium, we hope to bring light to the incredible choral talent we have in Durham and inspire other choirs here to strive for the same.

Unfortunately, we have run into some financial difficulties along the way, meaning that the project is in jeopardy and we have a very short space of time to gather together the remaining funds we need before it is too late.

Therefore, on 21st March, the choir will be embarking on a trip to Newcastle to perform outside every Greggs establishment in the city centre (all 16!!) We will be livestreaming each performance so you will all be able to follow our progress throughout the day. As a choir which runs off pre-rehearsal sausage rolls, we are strongly motivated to give this challenge our all and would be hugely grateful for your support. Thank you!
