I don't know how much of my story you already know. But if you're reading this, I assume you care and I thank you. 

I am currently in my first year and second term at the University of British Columbia, in Vancouver, Canada. I am in the Faculty of Science and hope to get into the Computer Science major program. I want to make animated short films that portray the Good News.

Lately, my toughest hardship has been the financial burden that comes with being an international student.

But God has been showing me again and again that He is so much bigger than the problems in front of me. When I focus on my problems, I feel panic over how urgent they are and worry over how I could possibly solve them. However, when I look past these problems and focus on God, I see not only that my current situation and everything in my life is dictated and mandated by Him, but also that these problems are so incomparably small in His overwhelming presence.

Those of you who've heard my story in the past (what I went through after high school), have heard me testify that God is working in my life. I believe that He brought me to UBC and that it is solely through His grace that I am able to study in Canada, right now. Therefore, I believe money is simply a tool, part of the path as I follow and obey God's will. It is not something I live for or rely on. I live for only God, and I rely solely on God. If money is something I need in my journey of seeking and doing God's will, then I believe that He will provide. It may be through this campaign. It may be through other ways I can never hope to imagine. But with my current situation of no income, I think starting this is part of doing my best for God.

Money is a tool and there are other tools. Honestly, anything helps right now. Anything. Part-time job recommendations, a share on Facebook, tips on a good resume. But if you've read this far, I would like to ask for  at least one thing and that is your prayer. That I will continue to keep my focus on God. That I will not fear whatever happens in the near future. Even if things do not go the way that I want, that I will still be able to acknowledge that it is all part of the best plan that God has prepared for me.

제 이야기를 벌써 얼만큼 아시는지 모르지만, 혹시 이걸 읽고 계신다면 저에게 관심을 갔고 계신다는 뜻으로 알고 감사드립니다.

저는 현재 벤쿠버, 캐나다에 있는 UBC에서 재학중인 1학년 대학생입니다. 지금 Faculty of Science에서 공부하고 있고 내년에 Computer Science 전공을 시작할 예정입니다. 저는 복음의 메세지를 담긴 애니메이션 영상을 만들고 싶습니다.

요즘 제가 제일 힘들어하는 것은 유학생으로서 겪고 있는 경제적인 문제들 입니다.

하지만 하나님께서는 제 앞에 있는 문제들 보다 훨씬 더 크신 분이라는걸 계속 보여주고 계십니다. 제가 저의 문제들에 집중하면 이 급한 불들 때문에 압박감을 느끼고 정답이 보이지 않아 걱정을 합니다. 하지만 이런 문제들을 지나 하나님을 바라보면, 저의 현재 상황 그리고 제 인생의 모든 것들이 다 하나님이 지시하시는 것들이고 이런 문제들은 하나님의 거대하심에 비하면 너무 작다는 걸 봅니다.

저의 고등학교 졸업후의 이야기를 들으신 분들은 알고 계시겠지만, 저는 하나님께서 제 삶 안에 일하고 계신다는걸 믿습니다. 하나님이 저를 캐나다로 인도하셨고 오직 그분의 은혜로 저는 지금 UBC에서 공부할 수 있게 된 것 입니다. 그래서 돈은 오직 한 도구일 뿐이고 제가 하나님의 뜻을 따라 걸어가는 길의 한 부분일 뿐입니다. 제가 사는 이유도 아니고 제가 기대는 것도 아닙니다. 저는 오직 하나님을 위해 살고 오직 하나님께만 기댑니다. 제가 하나님의 뜻을 찾고 따르는데 돈이 필요한 것이면, 하나님이 채워주신다고 믿습니다. 이 캠페인을 통해 일 하실수도 있고, 제가 생각지도 못하는 방법을 통해 하실수도 있습니다. 하지만 현재 아무 수입도 없는 저에겐, 이게 제 최선을 다하는 방법 중 하나입니다.

돈은 도구일 뿐이고 다른 도구들도 있습니다.  솔직히, 지금은 뭐든 도움이 됩니다. 알바를 구할수 있는 정보, 페북에 "나누기" 한번, 아니면 좋은 이력서 쓰는 노하우라도. 하지만 여기까지 읽으셨다면 제가 꼭 부탁하고 싶은 한가지는 기도입니다. 제가 계속 하나님만 바라볼수있도록, 미래에 무슨 상황이 와도 두려워하지 않도록, 그리고 저에게 원치않는 일이 생겨도 다 하나님이 준비하신 최고의 길의 일부분이라고 고백할수있도록.
