Supporting Hazeldene General Store and Post Office
Donation protected
On Monday 29th January, the Hazeldene General Store and Post Office were forced to abruptly shut its doors due to unforeseen circumstances. This store holds immense significance for our community, serving as a post office, hub for essential supplies, friendly interactions, and heartfelt conversations. To demonstrate our unwavering support, we are organizing a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for the legal fees associated with reopening the store.
The closure of Hazeldene General Store has left a void in our community. No longer can we rely on the convenience of collecting our mail and packages, purchasing bread, milk, and other necessities close to home. Moreover, the store's welcoming atmosphere provided a space for us to connect with familiar faces, share a cup of coffee, and engage in meaningful conversations. It is crucial that we come together during this challenging journey ahead.
Unfortunately, the legal battle to reopen the store will be long and arduous. In the meantime, the store's owners, Michael and Sue, will face financial strain as they are unable to resume work in the near future. By rallying our community and beyond, we can alleviate their burden and ensure they have the necessary resources to cover the mounting legal costs.
Let us unite as a community and extend our support to Michael and Sue as they navigate this challenging chapter. Through the GoFundMe campaign, we can contribute towards their legal fees, giving them a fighting chance to reopen Hazeldene General Store and Post Office. Together, we can preserve a vital part of our community and restore the convenience, warmth, and sense of belonging that the store has always provided.
