United Hatzalah & African Mission Healthcare

For my bar mitzvah project, I'm raising money to benefit United Hatzalah, an amazing life-saving organization in Israel whose Chairman is our good friend, Mark Gerson, and led by Eli Beer. My goal is to be able to purchase a life-saving Emergency Defibrillator. This compact life-saving machine that all United Hatzalah medics need to carry is able to restart a heart and give someone another chance at life. It is pictured below. The cost $2500.

What is United Hatzalah? United Hatzalah of Israel is the largest independent, non-profit, fully volunteer Emergency Medical Services organization that provides the fastest and free emergency medical first response throughout Israel. United Hatzalah's service is available to all people regardless of race, religion, or national origin.

I'm raising money to benefit African Mission Healthcare. My goal is to fund 10 Emergency C-Sections, at $250, for a total of $2500.

Any donation will help make an impact. I have already funded the first C-section!

What is African Mission Healthcare? This amazing organization, started by our friends Mark and Erica Gerson, envisions an African continent filled with enduring & improving health systems where everyone has access to quality, compassionate healthcare. Their mission is to strengthen African mission hospitals to aid those in greatest need.

Here are a few facts about the birth rate in Uganda.

- Less than 20% of women in rural Uganda who need a C-section are able to get one
 

- Ugandan women have a 2% lifetime risk of dying in childbirth

- 2% of women in western Uganda suffer from birth injuries

- AMH sponsors C-sections at approved facilities and audits for quality.

- We follow each mother through her hospital course and pay the hospital.
