Hello everyone.
My niece, Emma, at the age of 8 began experiencing severe headaches in the middle of the night. it was first thought she had vision problems but after wearing glasses she continued to experience the pain through the nights. Her mother's instinct was something more is wrong. With further testing it became known it was a brain tumor. In 2020 my cousin's daily life turned 360 degrees. The family now had a new normal routine. Filled with doctor visits and driving for hours to and back from their hometown to San Antonio. Emma and her family pushed through the surgery to remove the tumor and the healing process began. Today, at age 10, they have learned that Emma's tumor has returned and a second new tumor found as well.
The family is waiting to hear from St Judes in Tennessee where Emma will be under direct care of the specialists there. As you can imagine, this will bring an immense strain on the family's emotions and finances. The fear of separation for a family of 7, fear of the unknown.
First and foremost I ask that you help lift my family in prayer. The power of prayer and faith exists and they need it more than ever. I also ask that you wholeheartedly donate any amount possible for Emma and her family. Small amounts do add up. Finally please share and help circulate this on social media.
All funds raised will go directly to Smith-Valladares family. Thank you and blessings to you and your loved ones.
