United for Anitra Washington

I am writing this on behalf of our friend and colleague Anitra Washington. Anitra is currently under doctors care and had to take an unexpected leave of absence from work. A few days ago we received news that cancer was discovered in her brain. This cancer is more difficult to treat and is very complex. We are praying for a miracle. We will not lose hope.

It is during this time that we, her friends and family are uniting as one from all over, to collect funds to provide support for her immediate family during these troubling times. Anitra inspires everyone she meets and has a very special ability to encourage her everyone to be the best version of themselves. She demonstrates passion, purpose and gives meaning to so many that have met, partnered or worked for her directly.

To know Anitra is to know that she was always available to be a listening ear, a voice of reason , or a supportive mentor. In this moment we want to return that energy of support to our friend and her family. In this life, it doesn’t matter who you are, what you have accomplished or where you are headed, just as long as you live from your heart. Anitra’s heart is golden and deep as the ocean.

We are starting a Gofund me page as a fundraiser to help pay for expenses accrued along her journey. The funds collected will go directly to Anitra’s family to support with any unexpected expenses that they might incur during this time.
