With deep sadness, we share the 

heartbreaking loss of Surafel Yohnes, a beloved son, brother, and friend. Surafel lived in the United States for over 10 years, facing many hardships in silence and with strength. Though life was never easy for him, he remained kind, resilient, and deeply loved by those who knew him.

His passing has left his family, his mother and siblings, in deep sorrow. They have long tried to support him from afar, but with some of them living in Europe and South Africa, they are unable to attend his funeral in the U.S. Though they cannot be physically present to say goodbye, they are asking for the world to help us honor his life and give him the farewell he deserves.

We are creating this fundraiser to raise $17,000 to cover funeral and burial expenses and allow us to lay Surafel to rest with the love, respect, and dignity every child of God deserves, regardless of the circumstances of their life.

Surafel family, greatest wish is that his story be seen, his life be valued, and his memory be honored.
