Unite Our Family: Bringing Mom Home for Peace

Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,

We are reaching out during what has been the most challenging chapter of our lives. Our beloved mother, the matriarch of our family, has fought valiantly through four battles with lung cancer. Despite her unmatched strength, COPD and other complications have left her ventilator-dependent since September.

The hospital has done all they can, but it’s becoming clear that time is no longer on our side. While we grapple with this heartbreaking reality, our family’s deepest wish is to bring Mom home—to the place she built with love and fought so hard to keep.

Home is where she belongs, where she can feel the warmth of her family, smell home-cooked meals from her kitchen, and rest surrounded by the love she has given us for so many years. Her grandchildren, who lovingly call her BaNANA, live with her and want nothing more than to have her back home, filling the house with her presence and joy. Mom so desperately yearns to hear their laughter once again, echoing through the home that has always been her heart.

Our dad, her devoted partner, has dementia, Parkinson's, and epilepsy, yet he visits her every day despite his own health challenges. His dream is to lie beside her in their bed one last time, holding her hand and sharing the comfort of their enduring bond. We want to give them this gift—a chance to simply be together in the home they created, even if only for days, weeks, or months.

Your support would help us make this possible by covering the extensive costs of at-home care, specialized equipment, and medical support to safely transition Mom home on her trach-vent. It’s an overwhelming financial burden, but one we’re willing to bear if it means giving her the dignity, peace, and love she deserves.

If her journey takes another turn and we need to shift focus to her final arrangements, any remaining funds will be used to honor her life in the way she deserves.

Mom has been our rock, our source of strength, and the glue that has held our family together. Now it’s our turn to lift her up, to give her softness in her final days, and to surround her with the love she so selflessly gave.

Any donation, no matter the size, will help us bring Mom home and fulfill this deeply personal and heartfelt wish. If you can’t donate, please share this with others who might. Your kindness means the world to us.

Thank you for standing with our family during this time.

With gratitude and love,
