The Morreal's Healing and Recovery Needs

Hi everyone, this is Megan.

As many of you know, my Uncle Bill recently underwent a heart transplant. While we are incredibly thankful for this second chance at life, the road to recovery is long and challenging — both emotionally and financially.

Aunt Donna has taken unpaid leave from work to be by Uncle Bill’s side full-time as he recovers. Bill’s short-term disability only covers a fraction of his regular income, and with ongoing medical bills, transplant medications, travel expenses, and unexpected costs, the financial burden has become overwhelming.

Our family has always been fortunate in many ways, and from the outside, it might seem like everything is fine. But no one plans for the strain that comes with months of hospitalization, follow-up appointments, therapy, and a long healing process.

We are hoping to raise funds to help cover:

• Ongoing medical expenses not fully covered by insurance

• Specialized medications, diet, and cleaning needs required for transplant recovery

• Travel, parking, and meal costs related to Bill’s hospital care

• Lost wages and additional expenses during this critical time

Most importantly, we want to ease the financial pressure so Aunt Donna and Uncle Bill can focus fully on what matters most — healing and rebuilding their life together after this life-saving surgery.
