Unite for Amanda's Life-Changing Therapy

My name is Marlena Herndon, and I have created this GoFundMe on behalf of, Amanda Albertelli, my younger sister. Amanda has lived with a chronic illness her entire life. Due to an accident at age three, she developed scoliosis with a pelvic rotation. Dealing with thoracolumbar scoliosis and lumbar levoscoliosis has always been a challenge for her, but in recent years, it has become more difficult requiring additional medical intervention with little relief.

Amanda has met a physician that offers a non-surgical option to potentially reduce the curvature in her spine which would alleviate the pain she is experiencing daily. For years, she has continually searched for options, spent numerous hours in physical therapy, and undergone invasive procedures such as injections in the spine and laser ablation of the spinal nerves. Her pain becomes debilitating at times, but she has never given up or let go of hope.

The procedure she would like to participate in is intensive care therapy which consists of numerous treatments. This includes a combination of specific instrumental spinal adjustments, muscle ligament rebuilding, vibration therapy, proprioceptive neuromuscular re-education, and detailed rehabilitative procedures. The cost for this intensive care therapy is approximately $8,000.00. Insurance would not cover any of the expenses.

It would be incredibly meaningful to myself and our family if we could unite and support Amanda through this journey. Her ailment is progressive, and this treatment could be life changing.
