Union Sister in Need
Donation protected
Hello. This Gofundme story is about my union sister, Tanisha Carter. She is a single mother of 2 beautiful amazing boys. She has taken care of her boys by herself since they were born, having no financial help from their father, which makes their lives kind of tough sometimes. She decided to get into trade work so that she could provide her boys with a better life. She knew that if she got into a trade, and worked hard at school and work, that one day they will get to a point where they won’t have to struggle the way they do now.
Right now, she is only in her second year and recently have come into some hardship. She was laid off from her last job in March, and have not been able to be dispatched because her license has been suspended. She intended to get it reinstated, but no longer have a vehicle. To get her license reinstated, she will need a working vehicle, an ignition interlock system installed, and SR22 insurance. Not having worked since March, she is extremely short on cash. She haven’t even paid April rent yet, but she is working on getting other assistance with that. She has been networking and reaching out to people in different ways to get help getting a vehicle for very very cheap, but will still need help coming up with money to cover that, as well as the interlock device, necessary insurance, and reinstatement fees.
So, this situation sucks. And on top of raising babies on her own and kicking ass at work, she has also given back in many ways too. Her and her sons have worked on forest restorations for 3 years now. She is a volunteer with habitat for humanity building houses for homeless veterans and with PSLA building wheelchair ramps for disabled people who cant afford to pay for the work.
The money she is asking for will cover the bare minimum. She is only asking for enough financial assistance to make it possible for her to get to work so she can take care of her responsibilities on her own. If $4000 is donated, it will allow her to get her license reinstated so she can get dispatched to a new job and start earning money to pay for everything else.
You can help in two ways. You can donate, and you can ask others to donate on your page. Do what you can. She's an awesome apprentice. I'd hate to see a promising sister lose everything because of one wrong turn.
