Ask - help a union member to stay in their apartment and get the car to the shop.
We have so many low wage workers struggling right now, but with an eviction days away and a car that needs to get in a shop
Please considering donating or dropping me off a bus card. Or any resources folks have. They already called the county for emergency rent help.

This is the what was shared with me:
This all started back in March when my wife lost her job and it’s been a down hill slide ever since.
To help cover our bills I took up a second job, it helps some but is not enough.
Every month we are getting further and further behind on our rent and bills. Some weeks there is no food in the house and we have to get meals from family and other resources.
Then, in August, my wife's (my mother in law) mother passed away from kidney failure. It crushed our family and created an even more stressful situation. My mother in law was also in a struggle with her financial situation so we had to come up with money for her funeral and reception.
This put us deeper behind the 8 ball, to the tune of 1200 dollars behind on rent and struggling to keep up with the rest of our bills and living expenses. It has now gotten to the point to where we are facing eviction. If we can't come up with the 1200 dollars they will put us out of the apartment.
On top of that my car is leaking oil badly. We don't have the money to get it fixed at the moment and we are not sure when we will be able to get it repaired. I'm walking about 3 miles each morning make it to work, leaving my home at 5am to make it there by 6am. A 10 minute drive is now taking an hour or more. Then I take pubic transportation to get to St. Paul to make it to my other job by 3pm daily.
Right now not a lot of sleep is happening, things are a little scary not knowing what our next move is. We're just in need of a helping hand. We have the boys birthdays coming up in November and December and also the holidays. We are just hoping we have a stable home and reliable vehicle to get us by.
