Help Rebuild Union Island After Hurricane Beryl
Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,
My name is Aquille Ambrose and I reach out to you today with a plea for help as my beloved island and home filled with my childhood memories , Union Island in Saint Vincent & the Grenadines, has been devastated by Hurricane Beryl. This powerful Category 4 storm has left our island unrecognizable an entire island homeless, with infrastructure completely destroyed and communication lines severed. The situation is dire, and we urgently need your support.
As I write this, I am relieved to know that my immediate family members are safe on the mainland, though they too are struggling without power for the next 2-3 weeks. However, I am deeply worried about my extended family, friends, and fellow islanders on Union Island. Communication remains impossible, and the uncertainty surrounding their well-being is agonizing.
In response to this catastrophic event, I am launching a relief fund aimed at providing essential aid to the people of Union Island. The funds raised will be used to purchase critical supplies such as food, water, and clothing, and to support efforts to provide temporary shelter and begin the process of rebuilding homes and infrastructure.
Many in our community have lost everything and face the daunting task of starting anew, without the safety net of family on the mainland. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in helping us rebuild lives and restore hope to Union Island.
Additionally, I am coordinating efforts to establish collection points where donations of food supplies, toiletries, and other essential items can be dropped off. I will provide regular updates and more detailed information as these efforts progress.
Please consider donating to this relief fund and sharing this message with your networks. Your generosity will go a long way in supporting the people of Union Island during this challenging time.
Thank you for your compassion and support.
