Help Bring an Animal Shelter to Union County, Mississippi
Union County has no dedicated animal shelter, and many stray, abandoned, and injured animals have nowhere safe to go. I’m starting this fundraiser as a regular person in the community who wants to make a difference and help build a safe place for these animals.
Every dollar raised will go toward:
*Securing a location
*Building safe kennels and intake areas
*Medical supplies, food, and emergency care
*Initial shelter setup and operating costs
Transparency & Leadership: Where We Stand Right Now
I want to be completely transparent with everyone supporting this mission.
We are currently in the process of forming the official 501(c)(3) nonprofit for Union County’s dedicated animal shelter. This takes time, paperwork, and proper structure — and we want it done the right way.
I am not the nonprofit myself.
I am simply the person who finally set the sail in motion after years of our county asking for help and nothing happening. I took the first step — but this will not be a one-person operation.
We already have experienced individuals who have been rescuing, fostering, and sheltering animals out of their own personal homes for years. These are people who understand animal care, intake, medical needs, and rescue operations. They will be part of the leadership and planning as this becomes a fully structured organization.
As the nonprofit becomes formalized, we will have:
A community board
Clear roles and responsibilities
Proper oversight
Policies and procedures
Transparent financial reporting
Every dollar raised here will go only toward building and establishing Union County’s first dedicated animal shelter. I will continue to:

Share receipts
Provide photos and videos
Track all spending publicly
This shelter is not “mine.”
It belongs to the people of Union County, and I’m simply the one who pushed the first domino so the rest of the work could finally begin.
