Dear friends and family,

Today I write to you with a heavy heart and a trembling voice. My brother, Ramiro Berner, an exemplary father and a man full of life, needs our help. A few days ago, while picking up his son Mateo from Deretchin School, an unfortunate accident changed his life.

A mischievous squirrel, an electric scooter, and a bad fall were enough to fracture his wrist devastatingly. His hand was left dangling, an unimaginable pain that rushed him to Memorial Hermann. There, doctors managed to put his hand back in place, but the reality is that Ramiro needs urgent surgery to reconstruct his wrist with an implant.

Ramiro is the pillar of his family. Alongside his wife Sandra and their children Ramiro Jr. (Coach Rama), Paulina, and Mateo, they have built a life full of love and effort in The Woodlands over the past years. Always fighting, always moving forward, always united.

To make matters worse, Ramiro does not have medical insurance, and the operation cannot wait; it is scheduled for next Wednesday, March 26th. The pain is unbearable, and uncertainty consumes us.

This time, life has presented us with a very difficult test. Ramiro's surgery is an uphill battle, and although they have fought with all their strength to raise the money they need, they are $20,000 away from reaching the goal.

My brother is a hardworking man, a dedicated father, and an exceptional human being. He has always been there for his family, his friends, and the community. Now, it's our turn to be there for them.

Hoy les escribo con el corazón en la mano y la voz entrecortada. Mi hermano, Ramiro Berner, un padre ejemplar y un hombre lleno de vida, necesita nuestra ayuda. Hace unos días, mientras recogía a su hijo Mateo de Deretchin School, un desafortunado accidente cambió su vida.

Una ardilla traviesa, un scooter eléctrico y una mala caída fueron suficientes para fracturar su muñeca de manera devastadora. Su mano quedó colgando, un dolor inimaginable que lo llevó de urgencia al Memorial Hermann.
