I'm no storyteller but here goes. My name is Joe Harvey, and I am writing today to raise funds for myself to help with the cost of my procedure and missing work. I am a 42 y/o guy who is suddenly in the toughest situation of my life. I was diagnosed with 4 masses on one of my testicles on August 10th.
Testicular cancer is not common: about 1 of every 250 males will develop testicular cancer at some point during their lifetime. Annually, only about 9,910 new cases of testicular cancer are diagnosed in the US, and roughly 460 deaths are recorded. Super odds for survival (Grateful!!) but with significant burdens. I am in the very beginning stages of finding out how bad it could be. I will undergo an operation to remove the testicle in two weeks and wait for the test results to see if it is benign or malignant.
Donations to this gift drive will help offset my monthly living expenses and pay bills from the surgery. I love my job but it unfortunately does not offer insurance and I have to pay upfront. Luckily, I should only be down for about 2-3 weeks. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
