Unger is 10 out of 10 homeless. Let's help him

Donation protected
On Saturday morning, October 31, Ryan Unger and a small team of people were heading out on a climbing ministry trip, when a Montana surprise leaped onto the road and met the front of Unger's van. That's right: Unger hit a deer. For the average person, that's frustrating but one files an insurance claim and life goes on. For Unger, who's life's work depends on traveling and living in his van, it's a little deeper than frustrating. He's without a van, which means he's without a home. He's finally fully homeless, but we'd like to help him out of that situation.

If you know Unger (or Ryan, as I guess some people call him, or Ungerwhere as others know him), you know that he's lived full time out of his van for the last two years. His life and ministry has been traveling to be with people who are hiking and climbing. He's based out of Yosemite, and he travels around to do life together with people, sharing Jesus as he develops relationships and blesses people.

If you've spent time with him, you know how generous, caring, kind and heartfelt he is. You know that he loves people genuinely and blesses people richly. His greatest gift is giving himself and his time - he will walk with anyone, encourage everyone, and, if you let him, he'll live in your driveway and do life with you. He's baked with our kids, brought them to school, has played countless games of Candyland, hours of Legos, and loved our family so well. Everyone who knows him has stories like this - how he's invested into the everyday life and made it better, and definitely more fun. He's a connector, an includer, and he's just so kind.

Unger's van is likely totaled, and it's stuck in Montana. He emptied out his van and stored his belongings in Montana, and then hit the road with a team of three other people to meet climbers and encourage people. That's just who he is and what he does. But when that trip is finished, he needs a place to live. A new van to travel in and live out of, and we can help him!

We love Unger, and we want to help him upgrade to a new home...a mini cargo van maybe, or a newer minivan. If you have the ability, would you join us in helping Unger raise some money for a new van? Or even just share this page? For any gift over $100, Unger will send you an 8x10 of one of his original photographs...check out his instagram to know what an awesome gift this is (@ungerwhere).

Unger is a great guy with a huge heart, and no home. Let's help him get a new home so he can live his best life with all of us wherever we are!
