Hi everyone, my friends and family. Thanks for taking the time to click the link and read my story. This is something deeply personal, and is terribly hard for me to express. I’ve held off for a while, trying to come up with the right words to express my sincere emotions. This is my best attempt…
I’m trying to raise some money for cancer research. After the initial $1000, everything else will go towards the charity. **We have reached my first goal. Now, 100% of donations go to the charity. I’ve pick American Cancer Society.
My Why?
Coming out of the pandemic I wanted to do something that is bigger than anything I have ever done before. Something big. Something to bring joy and light after such dark times for so many. I’ve been so inspired by my close family and friends who have fought and beat cancer. The strongest people I know.
I lost my father at the beginning of the pandemic, he too was a cancer survivor. I want to raise the money in his memory and make a large donation in his name.
I’m going to do 9-10 triathlons this year. I thought it would be a good opportunity to promote my fundraising and story on social media. It’ll give me an opportunity to share my struggles and my successes.
When I was a child playing youth soccer, I remember my dad cheering “that’s my boy!”whenever I did something good. I want to give him another reason for him to say that to me.
Back to the triathlons, to do 9-10, I will be driving all over the southwest. Right now, it looks like this. A couple in AZ, several in New Mexico, including 1 in Roswell. In Texas, I’ll be driving as far as San Antonio. Which is a 10 hour drive, one way. I will post and update my events.
I’m asking you if you would consider contributing to my cause and join me on my journey. Help support me to give support to a greater cause.
