Rebuilding lives

Most all of us Silver Lake graduates know Julie Hawkins Gustafson and her family!  Well our friend and 1984 Silver Lake H.S. Alumni  has lost her home  in a devastating fire, completely destroying everything inside including the structure. While Julie and husband Jim were in process of purchasing the land on which the home sat, they now find themselves underinsured and without a home.
Julie had a small renters policy and with the proceeds from the Insurance settlement has secured ownership of the land on which to put another home, however without the luxury of receiving the insurance proceeds for the homes replacement they find themselves without enough money for a  replacement.
Julie and family have found a used MFG home, offered at a discount by a Silver Lake Alumni Family that can be moved and placed on the land in short order however after applying savings and local fundraising efforts they are still short of the total cost. What I am trying to do is raise enough money to get them this MFG home on the land that they have lived on for the last 9 years or so.  Silver Lake graduates and friends of graduates....LET’S MAKE THIS HAPPEN!  It takes a village, so let’s make this a bigger village.  All money will go toward the purchase of housing for the family of Julie Hawkins Gustafson, her husband Jim, daughter Leah, and granddaughter Brianna.
