Hi, my name is , Serhii Buriak. We are from Ukraine. My mother, she is name is Oleksandra Buriak, a single mother of two sons. After the start of the war in our country, she was forced to pick me and my brother and take us away from the war. That's why we moved to the states a year and a half ago. Everything was fine, mom worked, me and my brother studied. But, unfortunately, in November 2023, she was diagnosed with cancer, in January 2024, the tests were disappointing - stage 4, aggressive cancer, multiple metastases in the lungs and liver. The cancer is aggressive, the situation is critical. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy, which she was prescribed for 6 months. Where my mother is currently undergoing treatment, she is not given a chance to survive. But there is a chance to go to another clinic where they can save her life. This is why we ask all caring people for help, giving us a chance to save our mother’s life. My brother and I love our mother very much. She is very kind, caring, gentle, loving and the best mother in the world, who dedicated her whole life to us!
