Hi, my name is Gretchen and my mother is Regina Jenkins.

Regina, a nurse by trade, has supported, treated, listened to, helped, and healed more people than I can count. She currently works with caregivers, providing them with tools, support and coaching. As you may or may not know, she badly injured her shoulder providing care to a bed bound patient. After living in a LOT of pain for almost 3 months, the date of her surgery is almost here. She is set to have surgery on March 29.

This week she was informed that her initial co-pay of $500 suddenly changed to a $2200 payment to the surgeon and a $5700 payment to the hospital. And this has to be paid BEFORE the surgery can be performed.

After a few emotional conversations with my mother, she agreed to relinquish her need to "do it all alone" and ask for help from people who truly care about her.
