On Tuesday afternoon, I received news that an accident had happened out at Prewitt Reservoir where my dad and a couple of his buddies went out with plans and intentions of fishing on the boat all night long. When the trolley had stopped working, my dad went in to get his boat. My father, not realizing what was about to happen, swam into the water to get the boat, struggling and fighting to stay afloat. The current sucked him under. Wildlife officers that were out at the lake did everything they could to save him, but the current was just too strong and already late from the time the call was made around 1:20 in the afternoon. It wasn't until 3:15 when finally the search was ended when first responders and rescuers pulled my father from the water.

I am asking everyone who is able to help with raising money to have my dad cremated and have a service for him. My father was a very caring person and left an impression on each and every person he ever met. My father had a huge love for arrowhead hunting and anything that was outdoors. My father worked for the oil company for many, many years, working himself up to the top. When my father stopped working for the rigs, he was a tool pusher. My dad had awards for no time lost accidents for safety. My father was a great dad and grandfather. He had many grandchildren he always thought to know but didn't because of circumstances in life. I truly believe my father should have the service he deserves and also to allow all that knew him and cared for him to have that closure and to pay their respects. So please, I'm only hoping I can fulfill my father's wishes. Please and thank you in advance. It's been about two weeks now and I still think it feels like yesterday. Heartbroken, and numb to my own my feelings. It's crazy how family fights during a time when a loved one has passed. My dad wouldn't be happy with all the fighting so me being the stronger one I have to hold it together because my dad was my world. Always proud to call him my father. Now I have an angel and I pray he helps guide me in the direction I need to go. The 26th is his celebration of life for him. I don't ever like asking for help but I put it in God's hands in hopes this go fund me reaches whoever and however to give all friends and family can have closure in having the celebration.
