Hey guys... I'm just gonna jump into it and explain what's going on.
So even though Landon received his LAST chemo treatment a few weeks ago, he's still dealing with the aftermath. His blood counts bottomed out (which is to be expected post chemotherapy) and in the past few weeks, he's been battling viruses, GI issues, and has received multiple blood transfusions and platelet infusions, amonst other things. On Monday, the doctors did a CT scan and confirmed that he has pneumonia (which is scary for anyone, let alone someone with a compromised immune system).
I got on a plane the next day. Even though there's really nothing I can do for him here, of course I wanted to be here with him. Also, as most of you know, his dad and stepmom take care of him in Florida. Needless to say, this has also put a huge strain on them as they have to accommodate for everything with Landon in between working and raising 3 other children.
For those of you who know me, you know I really don't like to ask for help, but this unexpected trip really put a strain on me financially. I would like to raise enough money for a plane ticket home and to pay for food while I'm out here; but, even if you can't donate, we will gladly accept your prayers/good juju/good vibes for Landon. His counts are slowly coming back up, but he still has a long journey ahead of him when it comes to recovering from the damages of chemotherapy.
Please keep our little guy in your thoughts and prayers that he recovers quickly and without too many other issues!
