For those of you who know Martha, you know just exactly how sweet and caring she is. Martha is cherished, and loved tremendously and is the reason there is good in the lives of her immediate family. She has always welcomed everyone with open arms and is considered a second mom to many. Martha is a kind-hearted, Holy Spirited woman who will always offer love as her first language.

Our sweet Martha is going through some very difficult times. She is suffering from a stroke that happened on July 31. She went from hospital to hospital for 2 months until family had enough and decided to take her home. We are more than blessed to finally have Martha home with us on hospice. Martha's stroke was a severe stroke. In the beginning, she showed improvement, but once she was cleared and moved to a facility, her improvement declined. Martha is suffering from complete paralysis. She is able to open her eyes and mouth, but she is not able to move her arms or legs.

Martha has gone through a great deal of trouble being moved from Thousand Oaks Hospital to a facility in Bakersfield, to two more hospitals back to back in Bakersfield. This made it extremely difficult for her family to be close by her side during this time of need. After a very long and tedious process, we finally were able to bring Martha home to her oldest daughter Tanya's house. After the hard time Martha went through in the system, family has tirelessly been able to give Martha the care she needed and deserves.

Providing Martha with 24-hour care has been difficult, so we are starting this GoFundMe because Martha and Art have not had the resources to be able to prepare for a time like this. We ask for your kindness, love, and support to help us give Martha a proper farewell when that time comes.

With times being tough, we know everyone has their own things going on in life, we would be more than grateful for your contribution.
