This past week, our lives changed forever. What we thought was just a quick doctor visit for some stomach pain turned into something no family ever wants to hear: our mom has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. The cancer has already spread throughout her body, and everything has happened so fast that we’re still struggling to process it.
Just two years ago, we lost our dad. It was sudden, painful, and devastating. Since then, our mom has been the glue that’s held us together. She’s been our protector, our biggest supporter, and our safe place. She has carried so much for us with so much strength, now it’s our turn to carry her.
I’m 19 years old, and my little sisters are just 17 and 10. We’re still kids trying to figure out life without a father, and now we’re facing the terrifying possibility of losing our mom too. With no steady income and so much uncertainty ahead, we’re doing our best to hold everything together.
We’re asking for help. Not just for the overwhelming medical costs, but for basic everyday needs: groceries, school supplies, gas to get to appointments, and keeping the lights on. Every single dollar makes a difference. Whether it’s $5 or $50, your donation helps give us a chance to keep going, to fight alongside our mom, and to hold on to some hope during the darkest time of our lives.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing our story. Your support - in any form - means more than you could ever know.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
-Elijah, Rhianna, and Kaylee❤️
