Unexpected passing of Tim Noland

Tim Noland, unexpectedly passed away from a heart attack on Friday night, 3/15/2019, in Marty's arms in their home in Phoenix, AZ.

He was married to my sister, Marty (aka Martha Rupert), since 1998.  In April 2000, they had their one and only beautiful child, Annie.  She is currently a freshman at Grand Canyon University - Go Lopes!

Marty is currently a 4th grade teacher at PVCP, a private Christian school.  This is her 35th year teaching and 20th year at that school.  She feels it is more than just a job - but also her calling.

If you knew Tim, then you knew he was an amazing, loyal, one-of-a-kind man.  He was a simple man with a servant's heart.  He showed sacrificial love for his wife, Marty, and daughter, Annie - family was important to him and he would give up anything for them.  Tim attended Dream City Church with Marty and Annie and his family.  He loved God and his church and was always a great supporter of his pastor's - Tommy Barnett and now Luke Barnett.  The church is centered around having a dream for how God can use you.  Tim's dream was not to reach the world.  He supported those that did and were called to big dreams, but he knew himself better.  He understood his dream was not on a large scale.  His dream was simply to do what God wanted him to do each day - to impact people around him in simple ways.  He never reached for or wanted riches or fame, because he saw what could happen.  He and Marty trusted God each day to give them what they needed and they were content.  God was always faithful to them - and He will be faithful in the future!  Tim planted small seeds by helping other people in whatever way he could.  If anyone had a simple need like changing a tire, oil or anything related to fixing their car or anything else that needed fixed or taken care of - Tim would be there to help!

What many did not see was his own list he had to complete.  In 2002, they moved into their existing 3 bedroom house, since they had outgrown their prior 2 bedroom, 1100 sq foot house after Annie was born.  Their new house came with a long list of repairs, but Tim could definitely tackle anything.  He was amazing with home improvements .  He started on one end of the house and was working thru to the other end.  However, because of his servant's heart, many times his time spent was on other people's cars or other needs before their own.

Their house is still half-finished, with some big items, such as a kitchen remodel, still needing to be completed.  They also need floors in the bedroom (currently stripped to the concrete), back patio ceiling, lighting, window coverings, block fence in the backyard, roof repairs, etc.

God has impressed it on me to find a way to fund the completion of my sister's home repairs that Tim was unable to get to - but I know he would want to see completed.  Now that Marty will be living on a private school teacher's salary, that is simply unattainable by herself.  However, with many investing a little - we can get there!

Tim believed that small things can create a big picture and that is the biggest piece of His legacy.

This is where I have something to ask of you.  Could you bless Marty now by helping to fund their home repairs?  I know so many people love them and have wanted to find some way to help out during this very difficult time for Marty and Annie.

I know if we all do a small part, together, we can meet this BIG goal!  And I know, most importantly, we have a BIG GOD that is always faithful!  This is a phrase Marty uses in her classroom - God is Good - ALL the time.... and All the time - God is GOOD!!
